racing fuels massachusetts

The team at Tasha Fuels & Propane has a true passion for racing and motor sports. We know that high-performance vehicles and high-compression engines require superior high-octane fuel. We are proud to offer premium products from VP Racing Fuels.

We can deliver these racing fuel products directly to you. You can also pick them up at our service station: S & P Loud Fuel gas station, 1412 Route 28A, Cataumet, MA.

Our dedicated team of experts can provide guidance on the best fuel for your turbocharged racing vehicle.

How is racing fuel different from regular gasoline?

The critical difference between pretty much all racing fuel and gasoline is octane ratings — the measure of how much pressure is required for the fuel to combust.

Racing fuels have much higher octane ratings for use in higher-performance, turbocharged engines. Racing fuel sometimes also has additives like ethanol, methanol and lead, the last of which is completely gone from the gas you put in a street vehicle.

It’s important not to use racing fuel in a street vehicle, as it will reduce efficiency and potentially damage your equipment.

Introducing premium products from VP Racing Fuels

Founded in 1975, VP Racing Fuels is a world leader in race fuel technology, offering more than 80 fuel blends. One reason it remains at the forefront of racing technology is that most of its employees are or have been competitive racers. Tasha Fuels & Propane is proud to carry these VP products:

T4 — Designed for stock or slightly modified four-stroke engines, this direct pour-in replacement for premium pump gas is unleaded and ethanol-free. T4’s 97-octane rating protects against detonation and provides more power and better throttle response across the entire rpm range.

T2 — Designed for modern stock or modified two-stroke engines, this product has a 40:1 ratio of fuel and oil. T2 includes a Japanese Automotive Standards Organization (JASO) FD-rated synthetic oil package. It contains no ethanol, preventing many potential repairs and rebuilds, extending engine life and lowering maintenance costs, all while boasting more power over pump gas.

C12 — Ideal for compression ratios up to 15:1 and suitable for 75% of today’s automotive race engines, C12 is one of the winningest fuels in racing history. It’s a fuel of choice for drag, circle track and road racers across the globe. C12 is compatible with vintage air-cooled two-strokes and newer engines.

VP110 — Formulated for use in naturally aspirated engines with compression ratios up to 12:1, this fuel offers consistent quality across a range of racing applications: drag, circle track, road/rally, off-road/rally, motocross, motorcycle road racing, ATV/UTV, snowmobile, karts, PWC and powerboat.

94-octane four-cycle small-engine fuel — Ethanol-free and formulated with higher-grade base stocks and components, this product protects your system, maximizes performance and extends engine life. It also provides easier and more dependable starts, forestalling repairs and rebuilding of your outdoor power equipment. It contains no oil and passes the warranty requirements of all four-cycle engine manufacturers, including Briggs & Stratton, Kawasaki, Kohler, and Honda.
