How is racing fuel different from regular gasoline?
The critical difference between pretty much all racing fuel and gasoline is octane ratings, which measure how much pressure is required for the fuel to combust.
Racing fuels have much higher octane ratings for higher-performance, turbocharged engines. Racing fuel sometimes also contains additives like ethanol, methanol, and lead, the last of which is completely absent from the gas you put in a street vehicle.
